Dedicated scrappers can end up buried in magazines--and who can find that great layout when you need it? Instead, use a tearfile: a 3-ring filled with clear page protectors. When you see a great layout illustrated in a favorite magazine, tear it out and add it to the notebook. Flipping through the filled pages, you'll see a very special "appeals to me" idea book that will jumpstart your scrapping far more than a enormous pile of neat-and-tidy magazines.

To keep punches sharp, punch them through a sheet of fine sandpaper or aluminum foil. If your punch catches, try punching several layers of waxed paper. The wax will help lubricate the punch.

Magazine holders do a good job of storing letter-sized templates and stencils. Label the magazine holder, then slide into a bookcase for efficient, easy-to-reach template storage.

To make a page of alphabet stickers go further, remember to snip it! With a bit of scissor work, a "W" can become an "M", a "K" can become an "I" and a "Q" become an "O". Trimming less frequently-used stickers is a frugal way to get more layouts out of the same number of stickers.

Ribbon Storage

Storage for my ribbons
I saw this in a creating keepsakes magazine and I knew it would work for me! I used old CD cases (use the normal ones not the skinny type, with the black centres removed) to hold my ribbons. You use one CD for up to 6 - 10 ribbons of the same colour (depending on the width of the ribbon). It works fantastically for all those loose ribbons that I had shoved in a sandwich bag.  There is a knack to getting them into the CD case, all you have to do is fold your ribbon on top of itself (back & forth) not around in a circle (like how you purchase it). Lay all the ribbons on the Cd case base with the tails hanging out the spine of the CD Case. Once you have done this, then you put the CD case lid on and all the tails should hang out the spine of the CD case about 3cm. Secure the lid shut with an elastic band (otherwise it doesn't stay shut!). I put all my CD cases in a wooden crate I bought from Red Dot which is handy to cart around. I also line them all up in the crate like a rainbow so its easy to find the colour I am looking for. This is quite time-consuming to do but it works really well. PHOTO ATTACHED

Rollagraph Stamp Wheel storage

!
Storage for my rollagragh stamp wheels
This is how I store my stamp wheels. I buy a 'Pringles' Potato Chip canister, eat all the chips (oh, what a shame!), then cover with some old paper, then roll the stamp design on the paper (of what stamp wheels that will go in there). Each canister holds 3 large wheels or 7 small wheels stacked vertically. PHOTO ATTACHED

I also store all my TLC Hot Fudge kits and 12 x 12 printed paper in the 'Legacy Keepers' Work in Progress sleeve file, as it is so much easier to see all your paper and it doesn't get dusty. I hope these are a help, as I find them really useful and make my scrapping space alot easier to work in.
